This weekend the boys came down with summer colds. It didn’t slow them down at all; they kept running, screaming and playing even with their runny noses and occasional coughs and sneezes.
I didn’t waste any time being concerned about those summer colds.
Then Darrel came down with one.
And a day later, I got one, too.
It’s been a long time since I had a cold, and I’d forgotten how totally crappy they make you feel.
I’m quite wiped out.
That explains the lack of a post yesterday, and why I’m going to take a brief hiatus from blogging this week. Until I feel better, I’m going to try and take it easier on myself.
And the boys are already feeling better. Two sick parents + two kiddos who suddenly feel better = two parents who feel like crying.
So have a good week, and I’ll see you soon.
Hopefully.
Hope you feel better soon. There seems to be a horrid cold virus everywhere. I’m on the east coast and I spent this past weekend in bed feeling like I had been run over by a train from a cold that caused barely a sniffle in the kids. It did make B’s blood sugar drop into the 40’s but that was the extent of the effect on her.
I’m glad you’re feeling better – and yes, being run over by a train just about covers it. 🙁
Sorry poor B’s blood sugar is so wonky lately; I’m hoping and praying she gets leveled out soon.
