Well, believe it or not, but I actually have about 4 posts in near completion status right now. Just some photo editing and formatting, and they’re ready to go.
Right behind them are at least 6 other drafts in various stages of completion.
I was serious when I said I was back to writing.
Since I’ve been so hit or miss the last two months, though, I felt the need to take a quick moment and share a reason I *may* disappear for a while.
I think I’m getting sick.
Saturday, when I got back from work, I felt really tight in my arms and shoulders. So while taking a long, hot shower, I took the time to do some stretching.
I assumed I “overstretched”, because by that night I was so sore I could hardly move.
I’ve been taking magnesium chloride baths to help soothe my aching muscles, but for the last two days they haven’t helped much.
I’m still painfully sore and achy.
Last night, Zac had another band aid reaction that messed up his – and my – sleep enormously. All day long I was exhausted.
Tonight, my soreness and achiness suddenly felt…worse. And I suddenly felt cold.
Like, “shiver when the sheet is pulled off of me” cold.
At 9:30 p.m., my temperature was 99.4 degrees. An hour later it was 100.6.
After taking another hot magnesium chloride bath, drying off and laying perfectly still for ten minutes, my temperature is now 100.8.
I can already feel my head starting to get fuzzy and…spacy.
I don’t know what kind, but it appears a sickness has come to visit me.
Every time I’ve gotten sick during the last few years, I feel like it’s Gods way of thunking me upside the head and saying “Hel-LO! Lady, even *I* took a day of rest! Stop for a while, already!”
(I’m totally down with God being Holy and awesome, but when I talk to God directly, we chat like friends. It’s the only way I’ll actually talk to him. Too intimidating if I think in King James verbiage. I think God is cool with that.)
So apparently the Big Kahuna that truly runs my life is issuing a time out for me. Since I don’t have any idea how long (or how hard) I’ll be out for the count, due to the fact that this just started tonight, I figured I’d share so no one thought I was pulling another “depressed vanishing act”.
Have a great week! I’ll see you when I see you.
First thing in the morning, I’m calling my Mommy. 😉
